Public Relations Division, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (PR-RMUTL)

The Public Relations Division of Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (PR-RMUTL) was established on May 1, 2007, following the resolution of the 20th University Council Meeting of 2007. Its purpose is to serve as the central unit for gathering and disseminating information, activities, and the reputation of the university. It also functions as a central hub for building and maintaining good relationships with both internal and external organizations. This was authorized under Section 17 (6) of the Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna Act, B.E. 2548. The division's roles, duties, and responsibilities include:

1. Administrative and service operations.
2. Media production operations.
3. Media relations operations.
4. Networking and collaboration operations.
5. News dissemination operations.
6. Special events operations.
7. Coordinating with or supporting the work of other related units or assigned tasks.

On February 11, 2020, a new announcement on the division of administrative and internal units of RMUTL was made, ensuring the university's administration would proceed smoothly and efficiently. This was authorized under Section 9, paragraph three, and Section 17 (6) of the Rajamangala University of Technology Act, B.E. 2548, based on the resolution of the 24th University Council Meeting (15/2562) on December 16, 2019. According to this resolution, the Public Relations Division operates under the Office of the President and consists of two sections:

1. **Administrative and Media Production Section**
2. **Corporate Communication and News Section**

Both sections are responsible for disseminating news, activities, and information related to RMUTL's image, clarifying facts, and coordinating international collaborations to promote the university’s reputation. They also handle proactive public relations (Proactive Public Relations: PPR) to promote RMUTL as a university with academic standards and quality recognized at the national level. Their goal is to ensure that the university's target audiences are well-informed about RMUTL’s activities and achievements across all missions at the internal, national, and international levels.


The Public Relations Division operates within the framework of organizational communication, with the main task of disseminating information to support the implementation of RMUTL’s policies and strategies. The division also promotes and enhances the university’s operations in line with its objectives. This is aligned with the university’s Development Excellence Plan (2023–2027), under the vision: *“A leading university in professional education and technology, producing skilled graduates to sustainably enhance the quality of life in society, communities, and local areas.”*
