Dr. Passawat Wacharadumrongsak, Director, Institute of Research and Development, RMUTL presented the result of the absorb water system that conducted at Ban Song Than, Ban Thap Subdistrict, Mae Chaem District, Chiang Mai with the Thailand Research Fund and Royal Forest Department. He also presented the establishing of the Forest Landscape Restoration Fund 349 to General Prayut Chan-O-Cha, Prime Minister, Mr. Wissanu Krea-Ngam, Deputy Prime Ministers, and Mr. Athapol Charoenshunsa, Director General of Royal Forest Department, on January 14th, 2019 at Rajaprajanugroh School 31.
Forest Landscape Restoration Fund 349 brings the King’s science, 3 forests planting, 4 benefits, and the creation of a value chain for farmers in the upstream forest area. Moreover, this fund supports the farmers for changing the high chemical monoculture to the integrated farming system, restores the decadent forest by plating the permanent forest, vegetables, fruits, and herbs. FLR349 is the collaboration of 5 companies including RMUTL, Chiang Mai Social Enterprise, Thai Organic Agriculture Foundation, World Wide Fund for Nature, and Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives. The leading project was arranged at Ban Songtarn, Ban Thap subdistrict, Mae Chaem district, Chiang Mai. This project aims to build the 50,000 Rai creating forest and changes the ruined upstream forest areas to the full ecology.
